We believe there should never be compromise on the safety of the guests and crew on board, and that superyacht management should be carried out in an efficient and economical way.
If you would like assistance with your mandatory ISM (International Safety Management) and ISPS (International Ship and Port Facility Security Code) requirements as a superyacht over 500GT, then we can provide comprehensive support as a standalone service.
Our safety management systems (SMS) take into account your refit and repair cycle to allow for cost effective planned maintenance. All Edge Yachts’ safety and security manuals are approved by all major Flag States*.
ISPS code compliance is a complex journey. We provide advice and guidance to ensure certification is awarded and whilst taking into account the nuances of the day-to-day running of your superyacht.
As a global security measure, and a part of the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS), compliance to the ISPS Code (or International Ship and Port Facility Security Code) is mandatory for all large charter yachts over 500GT.
Our team of experienced advisors will take care you and your team from the first stages of your Ship Security Plan through surveys and audits, and extends that support to your designated Security Officer and Designated Person Ashore (DPA) roles in emergency situations.
Edge Yachts can also be your Designated Person Ashore and act as the link between your captain and crew and the owning company of your vessel. Our team of master mariners provides you with the reassurance that your DPA brings with them tens of hundreds of sea hours on superyachts, and can empathise with and resolve any situation your captain and crew are facing.
*We hold Documents of Compliance for all the major Flag States, including: Cayman Islands, Marshall Islands, Bermuda, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Malta and Jamaica [MCA/UK or US?]. Our team is also Lloyd’s Register certified.
